Robert Schnee is a lifelong citizen of Luzerne County and is honored to bring his years of experience to the Legislature to best serve the people of the 116th Legislative District.

For the 2021-2022 session, Robert has been assigned to the following four committees: Children & Youth, Commerce, Finance and Human Services.

Shortly after graduating Hazleton High School in 1977, he began working at Hazleton City Water Authority from which he retired in 2021.

Robert also served on the Luzerne County Council for six years where he worked with budgets over $150 million. He saw the importance of fiscal responsibility through this process and will continue his commitment to that concept as a state lawmaker, as it directly affects the local, hardworking people of the district.

Over the past 35 years, Robert served on the Hazleton School Board and was president of the Local 8567 Union and Hazleton Water Authority Union.

Outside of work, Robert also was active in sports as a coach in Hazleton Township Little League, Ernie Valente Midget Football and even served as the assistant football coach of Hazleton High School from 1983-1991.

He currently resides in Sugarloaf Township with his wife, Jamie.
